Mary Odgers was the first child of Mary Jewell and Allen Odgers, and was baptised on the 17th July 1768, in the Parish of Wendron.
A search of the I.G.I., has found that Mary married a Reade Trimnel Spencer, on the 14th October 1787 in the Parish of Falmouth. The Parish of Falmouth is fairly close to that Parish of Wendron, and it possible that Mary travelled their to start a new life and a new family.
A subsequent search of the I.G.I., has discovered that only one child being born to Mary and Reade. There could be a number of reasons for this. The childs deatils are as follows;
|Catherine Atkins Spencer||- baptised 28th September 1788|
A further search of the I.G.I, has failed to find any trace of what became of Catherine. The fact there were no other children recorded in the I.G.I, could mean that they moved to another County or migrated overseas. There is also a strong possibility that Catherine died, in fact it is also likely that Catherine and her mother Mary died in childbirth.
Hopefully further research will establish what became of Mary, her husband Reade, and their child Catherine. In the meantime if anyone has any more information about Mary, Reade, or Catherine, please contact me at email@example.com
